Leibniz Association

German association of some ninety independent research institutes and museums, formed in 1995 out of the earlier blue list of jointly funded institutions and named after Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, with its head office in Berlin. Its members work in the natural sciences, medicine, economics and the humanities, and include institutes for natural product research and infection biology, molecular pharmacology, plant biochemistry and food systems biology that carry out drug discovery and analytical work.
