Madras Veterinary College

Indian veterinary college at Vepery in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, founded in 1903 and the oldest veterinary college in the country, now the flagship college of the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Teaches the bachelor of veterinary science with master's and doctoral programmes through departments including veterinary pharmacology and toxicology, microbiology, pathology and clinical sciences, runs its own teaching hospital for large and small animals and diagnostic laboratories, and carries out research in animal health, veterinary drugs and food safety.
