Mobil Central Research Lab

Central research laboratory of the Mobil oil company at Princeton in New Jersey, which carried out the company's fundamental research until the merger with Exxon in 1999. Worked on catalysis and zeolite chemistry, where its scientists discovered the MCM-41 family of mesoporous materials later taken up in drug delivery and separation science, on synthetic organic chemistry and materials, and on analytical methods, and its work continued within the ExxonMobil research organisation.
