American public land grant research university in Raleigh, North Carolina, founded in 1887 and the largest university in the state. Runs the College of Veterinary Medicine with veterinary pharmacology and the Food Animal Residue Avoidance Databank programme, the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with the Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center for biologics manufacturing, and colleges of sciences and agriculture and life sciences, with research in drug delivery, natural products, biomanufacturing and toxicology.
