Omdurman Islamic University

Sudanese public university in Omdurman near Khartoum, founded in 1912 as an institute of Islamic learning and made a university in 1965, one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country. Runs faculties of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, laboratory sciences, engineering, agriculture, sharia and law, arts and economics, with its Faculty of Pharmacy teaching pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy and pharmacology.
