Roche Palo Alto

Former research and development site of the Swiss group Roche at Palo Alto in California, which grew out of Syntex after Roche bought that company in 1994 and was closed in 2010 with its work moved to Nutley, Basel and Genentech at South San Francisco. Worked on medicinal chemistry and drug discovery in virology including HIV and hepatitis, inflammation and central nervous system disease, together with pharmaceutical and analytical sciences and non-clinical safety work.
