British arm of the French pharmaceutical group Sanofi, with its head office at Reading and further sites at Holmes Chapel in Cheshire and Waterford through its consumer health business. Sells prescription medicines in immunology, diabetes, rare disease and oncology together with vaccines and consumer health products, runs clinical trials with the National Health Service, manufactures inhaled and other products in Britain, and works with British universities and research bodies on development programmes.
