Sudanese national body for postgraduate medical and health training, established in 1995 and based in Khartoum, which took over specialist training from the earlier arrangements with foreign colleges. Sets the curricula and accredits training centres for clinical medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics, family medicine, clinical pharmacy and other health specialties, runs the residency programmes and the examinations, and awards the Sudanese clinical MD and diploma qualifications.
