British public research university in Swansea, Wales, founded in 1920 as University College of Swansea, with campuses at Singleton Park and Bay. Its Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science runs the Swansea University Medical School with graduate entry medicine, pharmacology, medical sciences and health data science, together with schools of biosciences, geography and physics, and conducts research in drug discovery, nanomedicine, medical device engineering and clinical trials with local health boards.
