American clinical stage biopharmaceutical company at Foster City in California, founded in 2016 and listed on the American market in 2021, which worked on small molecule medicines for liver disease, obesity and cancer. Its lead compound was an oral allosteric inhibitor of the BCR::ABL1 kinase for chronic myeloid leukaemia, and it also ran programmes on a GLP-1 receptor agonist for obesity; Merck agreed to buy the company for about six point seven billion dollars in March 2026 and completed the purchase that May.
