The George Washington University

American private university in the Foggy Bottom district of Washington DC, chartered by Congress in 1821 and one of the largest universities in the district. Teaches through the School of Medicine and Health Sciences with its physician assistant and clinical research administration programmes, the Milken Institute School of Public Health, the School of Nursing and the Columbian College with chemistry and biology, works with the GW Hospital and the Medical Faculty Associates, and carries out research in cancer, neuroscience, infectious disease and health policy with clinical trials.
