Universidade de Aveiro

Portuguese public university at Aveiro on the Atlantic coast, founded in 1973 and known for its science and engineering schools. Teaches through departments of chemistry, biology, medical sciences, environment and planning and materials engineering with polytechnic schools of health and technology, and carries out research through units including CICECO for materials, CESAM for environmental and marine studies and the institute of biomedicine in analytical chemistry, ecotoxicology, biomaterials and biomedical sciences with its own laboratories.
