German public university in Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, founded in 1456. Teaches pharmacy at its Institute of Pharmacy with pharmaceutical technology and biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical biology and clinical pharmacy, together with medicine, dentistry, biochemistry and the natural sciences, runs the university hospital and carries out research in drug behaviour in the gastrointestinal tract, natural products, microbiology and proteomics, work from which the biorelevant dissolution company Physiolution was spun out.
