Public university in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, founded in 1974 as the University of Ouagadougou and renamed in 2015 after the historian Joseph Ki-Zerbo, the country's oldest and largest university. Teaches through training and research units in health sciences with medicine and pharmacy, exact and applied sciences with chemistry and biology, life and earth sciences and the humanities, works with the Ouagadougou teaching hospitals, and carries out research in pharmacognosy and medicinal plants, pharmacology and public health with its own laboratories.
