University of Bern

Swiss public university in Bern, founded in 1834 with roots in a theological school of 1528. Teaches medicine, dental medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical sciences within its chemistry and biochemistry department, biology and biomedical engineering, works with the Inselspital university hospital and the ARTORG biomedical engineering centre, and carries out research in drug delivery and pharmaceutical technology, infectious disease, cardiovascular medicine and translational research with its own laboratories and clinical trials unit.
