University of Rennes 1

French public university at Rennes in Brittany, whose teaching goes back to the university moved from Nantes in 1735 and which was reorganised as Rennes 1 in 1969 and renamed the Université de Rennes in 2023. Teaches pharmacy and medicine through its health faculties together with chemistry, biology, physics, law and economics, works with the Rennes university hospital for clinical teaching and trials, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, glycochemistry and materials with the national research bodies.
