Registers and reviews pesticides under federal pesticide law, evaluates and regulates industrial chemicals under the Toxic Substances Control Act, sets air, water and waste standards, runs the Integrated Risk Information System and the ToxCast and computational toxicology programmes, and carries out research through its Office of Research and Development.
