Canadian public research university in London, Ontario, founded in 1878 as the Western University of London Ontario. Runs the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry with departments of physiology and pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology and the clinical specialties, together with faculties of science, engineering, health sciences and social science, and conducts research with the Robarts Research Institute, Lawson Health Research Institute and the London teaching hospitals including clinical trials.
