Adrián Monteiro Santás, born in Ourense (Spain), graduated in Pharmacy at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Spain, 2018). He obtained his master’s degree in Drug Research and Development at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Spain, 2019). After finishing his studies, he joined GalChimia (2019) a chemical synthesis company where he participated in many projects regarding drug design and synthesis for some of the most important European pharmaceutical companies. He has currently started his PhD under the supervision of Professor Doctor Concepción González Bello (2020) at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, focusing his research activity on discovering and synthesizing new antibacterial drugs. His main interest in the field of research has always been drug design and synthesis, with a medicinal chemistry approach. Working with very diverse pharmacological targets has provided him considerable expertise in a large range of different chemical structures, reactions, techniques and equipment.
