I conducted my PhD in Cairo on hepatoprotective effects of some drugs against model of liver toxicity. After my PhD I spent 15 years in UAE where I focused on protective effects of natural substances and antioxidant against oxidative stress induced by pharmacological agents such as anticancer drugs and antiepileptic agents. Since five years I have also started work on the protective effects of medicinal plants against oxidative stress-mediated diseases such as diabetic nephropathy and cardiovascular complications, liver fibrosis and liver cancer. For last 7 years, I was involved in developing in in vivo and enzyme assays in the field of cancer and oxidative stress researches. My experience has involved drug discovery, mechanism-of-action studies, biomarker development, cancer pharmacology in xenograft and chemical tumor models, pharmacology of stress response signaling .This has required a broad understanding of cancer biology and pharmacology.
