Bengisu Arslantaş is a highly motivated MSc student in Biomedical Engineering at Erciyes University, Türkiye, with a strong interdisciplinary focus at the intersection of neuroscience, biomedical signal processing, and artificial intelligence. Her research is driven by the goal of developing intelligent, data-driven systems that can transform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. She has been actively involved in cutting-edge research projects supported by TÜBİTAK, contributing to the design and implementation of experimental studies as well as advanced data analysis pipelines. Her work spans diverse domains, including EEG-based decision support systems for pediatric intensive care, electrochemical biosensors for early Alzheimer’s disease detection, and comparative analyses of deep learning and traditional machine learning models for cardiovascular diagnostics . Bengisu possesses a solid technical foundation in biomedical signal analysis (EEG, ECG, EMG), machine learning, and deep learning, with hands-on experience in MATLAB and Python. Complementing her computational expertise, she has extensive laboratory experience in cell culture, immunofluorescence staining, microscopy, and animal experimentation, enabling her to bridge the gap between experimental biology and computational modeling . Her research contributions have been presented at national and international scientific conferences, reflecting her commitment to scientific dissemination and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, she gained practical clinical engineering experience at Kayseri City Hospital, where she worked on calibration and maintenance of critical medical devices . Beyond academia, Bengisu has demonstrated strong global engagement through her long-term Erasmus volunteering experience in Struga, North Macedonia, under the European Solidarity Corps program. This experience strengthened her ability to work in multicultural environments and fostered a deep commitment to socially impactful and community-oriented initiatives . With a strong combination of research experience, technical expertise, and international perspective, Bengisu aims to pursue a PhD and contribute to innovative, AI-driven healthcare technologies in global research and industry environments.
