Dr. Bharathi Pandi, Ph.D. is a medicinal and synthetic organic chemist with over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical research, drug discovery, and STEM education. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics in oncology, infectious diseases, pain management, and animal health while working with leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations. Dr. Pandi is the Founder and Director of NC STEM Academy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists, innovators, and researchers through hands-on laboratory experiences and research-based learning. He is also the Founder and CEO of Drug Discovery Labs, where he leads drug discovery and development initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Passionate about STEM outreach, Dr. Pandi has mentored numerous middle school, high school, and college students in scientific research, biotechnology, chemistry, and biomedical sciences. His mission is to provide young learners with meaningful exposure to real-world science and research opportunities, helping them develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for future careers in STEM. Dr. Pandi holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and is committed to expanding access to high-quality STEM education and research experiences for students across North Carolina and beyond.
