Biografie

For the last 13 years I worked in the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM) in the Cell Biology Program. During this period I have been focused in the pathogenesis of lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs) and in the development of innovative therapeutics for these devastating diseases using drug discovery approaches. The combination of this expertise together with my previous professional position at Eli Lilly & Company such as Scientist in the lead optimization biology department allowed me to recently started my independent career, by joining my actual position as a Faculty and Head or the High content screening laboratory at TIGEM. My research interest is to study the fundamental biological role of lysosomal function in health and disease using state-of-the-art high content imaging (HCI), cell biology, and OMICs approaches.
