I am Dr. Paturu Rama Subba Reddy, currently working as an Associate Research Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Sai Life Sciences, Hyderabad, India. I obtained my Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences (Medicinal Chemistry) from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) while carrying out my doctoral research at CSIR–Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad. My research journey began as a Project Assistant at CSIR–IICT, Hyderabad (September 2015 to January 2017), where I gained foundational experience in synthetic organic chemistry, including multistep synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization of organic compounds. I later worked as Project Assistant Level-II at CSIR–IICT (September 2018 to May 2019), where I further strengthened my expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction optimization, and laboratory-based medicinal chemistry research, contributing to ongoing research programs. I was subsequently selected as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and promoted to Senior Research Fellow (SRF). From 2019 onwards, I continued my doctoral research as a regular Ph.D. scholar, focusing on the design and synthesis of novel muramyl dipeptide (MDP) analogues as NOD2 agonistic vaccine adjuvants. During my research and industrial career, I have handled high-priority projects sponsored by biotechnology companies, including industry-driven research programs and collaborative drug discovery initiatives. I have also been actively involved in technology transfer activities, supporting the translation of research outputs from laboratory-scale synthesis to applied pharmaceutical development. My Ph.D. work involved the development of glycopeptide, glycolipopeptide, and heterocyclic analogues aimed at enhancing innate immune activation and improving vaccine efficacy. I have contributed to peer-reviewed publications and international patent applications in medicinal chemistry and immunomodulatory drug discovery. I have been recognized with two Best Poster Awards at international conferences, highlighting the scientific impact and quality of my research contributions in medicinal chemistry and vaccine adjuvant development. My research interests include medicinal chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, drug discovery, vaccine adjuvant development, heterocyclic chemistry, peptide chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, chemical biology, and structure-based drug design. I am currently engaged in industrial medicinal chemistry research involving multistep synthesis, reaction optimization, structure–activity relationship (SAR) studies, and characterization of biologically active molecules.
