Research Officer at the Centre for Research on Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine (CRMPT), Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plant Studies (IMPM), Yaoundé, Cameroon. RESEARCH FOCUS: Phytochemical investigation of African medicinal plants for bioactive compound discovery, with emphasis on anticancer, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory agents. Specialized in isolation and structural characterization of flavonoids and stilbene derivatives using chromatographic separation and spectroscopic techniques. CURRENT PROJECTS: - Comprehensive study of resveratrol derivatives from Boswellia papyrifera for anticancer applications - Structure-activity relationship studies of flavonoid glycosides TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: Compound isolation (column chromatography, TLC), structure elucidation (NMR, IR, UV, MS data interpretation), in vitro bioassays (cytotoxicity, antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory) CAREER GOALS: Seeking postdoctoral training to acquire LC-MS/MS metabolomics skills and in vivo pharmacology expertise to advance natural product drug discovery research. Long-term vision: establish modern analytical chemistry laboratory at IMPM to support African medicinal plant valorization.
