Pharmacist, MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences (UNESP), and PhD candidate in Pharmacy (Clinical and Toxicological Analyses) at the University of São Paulo (USP). My academic and professional background is focused on pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, and mechanistic modeling, with emphasis on Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling and simulation applied to interindividual variability and drug–drug interactions. I previously worked in community pharmacy and in laboratory-based teaching activities in Pharmacy, experiences that strengthened my practical and analytical foundation. During my master’s degree, I investigated the enantiomeric pharmacokinetics of hydroxychloroquine, evaluating the impact of CYP2D6 and CYP2C8 genetic polymorphisms using PBPK approaches. Currently, during my PhD, I study the pharmacokinetic interactions of ayahuasca alkaloids using PBPK modeling and simulation. I am conducting a PhD sandwich program at KU Leuven (Belgium), where I investigate the permeability of these compounds using in vitro models, integrating experimental and computational data. My research interests include pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, drug–drug interactions, PBPK modeling, translational science, and the development of mechanistic models applied to clinical research.
