Biografie

I graduated from Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul campus with a Ph.D. in Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry in 2022. My Ph.D. research was focusing on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of pyrazole derivatives targeting c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) involved in cancer. After finishing my Ph.D. , I was appointed as a lecturer of Medicinal Chemistry at faculty of pharmacy, Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI) in Egypt and this position provided me with an extensive experience in teaching Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design aspects to undergraduate students. Moreover, I launched some postdoctoral research projects in which I supervised two master students in projects related to antibiotic resistance (development of bacterial DNA gyrase inhibitors) and autoimmune disease (rheumatoid arthritis) (development of JAK inhibitors). Also, I was involved in two projects, rather than my students' projects, related to neuropathic pain (development of p38 alpha inhibitors) and a docking study for some flavonoid derivatives to treat peptic ulcer. I have a great research interest in neuroscience (especially GPCR for non-addictive opioid analgesics), cancer immunotherapy, and antibiotic resistance. Beside my academic career, I have an interest in learning spanish language using Duolingo application since 2024.
