Biografie

Madison is a biologist within the US EPA's Office of Research and Development Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure. She earned dual-bachelor degrees (BS in cell and molecular biology/BSPH in public health) as well as a master in public health and tropical medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Her graduate work focused on infectious disease, mosquito ecology and vector control strategies. Madison is an early career scientist seeking to integrate biology and data science to make an impact. With a background in biological sciences plus academic research and government experience at the local, state, and federal level, she discovered a passion for computational toxicology, with the goal to promote the adoption of new approach methods (NAMs) and increased data interoperability to ultimately achieve reductions in animal testing. At EPA, she plays an integral role in the development and quality assurance efforts of the bioactivity hazard databases. She provides project management, curation, and analysis support to various projects including: the Toxicity Forecaster (ToxCast) program, a resource for curated vitro screening data, Toxicity Reference Database (ToxRefDB), a resource for legacy animal toxicity data, and ChemTrack, an internal database and application used for chemical-sample tracking. Her expertise includes database development and maintenance, data analysis, project management, user acceptance testing, and quality evaluation efforts within the hazard identification and bioactivity space. She is structured and organized, yet adaptable and constantly seeking to innovate and advance her skills.
