I conduct projects aiming at understanding the interactions between microorganisms and their habitats in both natural and anthropogenically impacted systems. I’m particularly interested in the coupling between autotrophic and heterotrophic microorganisms and how this coupling can be affected by organic and inorganic contaminants and the consequences of this contamination on coastal carbon cycling.
