I obtained my undergraduate degree in pharmacy from Amrita University, India, and later on doctor of pharmacy degree from JSS University, India. Currently, I am working towards completion of my Ph.D in clinical pharmacy/pharmacy practice from JSS University, India. In order to improve my knowledge in drug and patient safety, I have also completed post graduate diploma program in pharmacovigilance. I have nearly three years’ experience in academics. In 2018, I joined as lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University, Malaysia. Previously, for two years, I was working as a teaching assistant, along with my doctorate, for post graduate and under graduate level pharmacy students in India. Apart from teaching, I am also actively involved in research, mainly in the areas of patient medication management and drug safety, drug use evaluation, medication adherence, quality of life assessment, pharmacovigilance, and pharmacoeconomics. I have also worked as a clinical research coordinator for a phase 3 clinical trial conducted by Cadila Pharmaceuticals. My clinical experience includes working several years as a clinical pharmacist for medicine at JSS Hospital, India. Aside from this, I was also previously employed as a registered pharmacist at a multi-speciality hospital in India, after undergoing extensive training as a hospital pharmacist. Overall, I have more than five years of experience in the field of academics, administration, clinical practice, research and medical trials with a strong background in applied therapeutics, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, clinical pharmacy, pharmacovigilance and drug safety, clinical research, pharmacoeconomics and outcome research.
