Teicoplanin (CAS 61036-62-2) is a semisynthetic glycopeptide antibiotic supplied by Beijing Global Biologicals as a pharmaceutical-grade product for treating serious Gram-positive infections, including MRSA and Enterococcus faecalis, by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It has a spectrum of activity similar to vancomycin and has also shown efficacy against pseudomembranous colitis and Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea.
