Secoya Technologies sell "Emulsification and Encapsulation Technology"

Based on microfluidic principles, Secoya develops and supplies RayDrop, a novel emulsification technology for producing monodispersed droplets or particles. RayDrop's emulsification process relies on co-flow and flow-focusing technologies housed within a stainless-steel unit, and it can also produce double emulsions (W/O/W, O/W/O), for example to create core/shell particles or capsules. Monodispersed PLGA particles from 10 to 200 micron can be produced with RayDrop without chlorinated solvents, and the technology efficiently encapsulates hydrophobic or hydrophilic active ingredients with encapsulation efficiency above 95%. RayDrop is also well suited to producing other particle types, such as alginate and liposomes, at the desired particle size.
