Relactagel is a lactic acid and glycogen gel for treating and preventing bacterial vaginosis (BV), one of the most common women's health infections. Clinically proven to treat and prevent BV, it relieves the abnormal odour and discharge associated with the condition. Its lactic acid restores and maintains natural vaginal acidity, creating conditions favourable to lactobacilli growth, while its glycogen content supplies nutrients for these lactic acid bacteria. Relactagel is marketed in Europe as a Class IIa medical device.
