I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy in 2009, followed by a Master's degree in Pharmacology in 2017, and PhD in cardiovascular pharmacology at the University of Glasgow in 2023. My journey into education began when I successfully completed the Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) training program in 2019, leading to a role as a lab demonstrator in various teaching laboratories, including Biology, genetics, protein purification, and pharmacology labs. In 2020, I took on the position of a problem-based learning facilitator in the School of Medicine, engaging first and second-year medical students in a diverse range of clinical scenarios. This continued into 2021, where I provided tutoring services, marking exams, and assignments, and delivering constructive feedback to students. Prior to my PhD, I actively taught pharmacology at the University of Al-asmarya, focusing on curriculum enhancement, improving communication skills, and boosting student performance and confidence. Over the years, I've held several teaching roles, refining my ability to encourage engagement, promote diversity, and create inclusive learning environments. This experience has exposed me to students from various backgrounds and enabled me to foster valuable relationships with colleagues and mentors. My commitment to teaching stems from a desire to empower students to find independent solutions and embrace continuous learning. I believe in inspiring students to explore the ever-changing world of science and technology, pushing boundaries, and seeking new knowledge. My teaching approach considers the unique characteristics of subjects, learning styles, and the diverse backgrounds of students, even in the context of remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Equality, participation in higher education, and supporting all learners are central to my teaching philosophy. I emphasize the importance of clear assessment criteria and learning outcomes, and I utilize technology to facilitate effective online teaching experiences. My dedication to continuous professional development has further enriched my teaching skills, allowing me to handle diverse student groups and challenging situations with confidence.
