A translational scientist with demonstrated research skills with a main research direction particularized in pharmaceutics, drug delivery, formulation, and nanotechnology research topics. My academic research and teaching experiences have been earned from working as an assistant professor of pharmaceutics and industrial pharmacy at the faculty of pharmacy, Cairo University, Egypt, and as a visiting research scholar at the pharmaceutical technology department, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), USA. I obtained my B. Pharm. of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with Highest Honors and Distinction (93.56% - Ranked 1st) from the faculty of pharmacy, Cairo University, Egypt. My master’s degree in pharmaceutics, from Cairo university, focused on nanocarriers as topical drug delivery systems. My Ph.D. in pharmaceutics and industrial pharmacy focused on the development of novel gastroretentive drug delivery systems using ion exchange resins. This work was performed at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, USA, and the degree was obtained from Cairo University, Egypt. Research interests: o Application of different techniques of 3D-printing and 3d-Bioprinting in drug delivery o Design and optimization of different nanoparticles and nanofibers for drug delivery o Pharmaceutical applications of ion-exchange resins o Development of taste-masked formulations Pediatrics o Development and optimization of several gastroretentive dosage forms. o Polymer-based surface solid dispersion and solidified surfactant techniques o Ocular and intranasal drug delivery o Repurposing of drugs for anticancer and antimicrobial activities.
