Berufliche Zusammenfassung
Eduardo Guisasola obtained his BSc grade in chemistry in 2010 at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In 2011 he received the Moncloa Campus International Excellence PICATA fellowship at Universidad Complutense de Madrid where he completed a MSc in Chemistry Science and Technology specializing in Nanotechnology along with his PhD in Pharmacy working in the design and development of smart drug delivery nanomaterials for anti-tumor therapy at the Inorganic and Bio-inorganic Chemistry Dpt. of the Faculty of Pharmacy under the supervision of María Vallet-Regí. Thereafter, he moved to Prof. Aitziber L. Cortajarena’s group at CIC biomaGUNE, first to perform a project for industry with Progenika Biopharma (Grifols) and then followed by a joint postdoc with Dr. Sergio Moya focused on protein-polymer nanocarriers for cancer treatment through photodynamic therapy. He was recently granted with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship to work at the Eindhoven University of Technology in Jan van Hest's laboratory. His research interests are focused on research and development of nanodevices for applications in nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine, aiming to develop functional nanostructures which allow the detection and treatment of diseases.
