I am a clinical pathologist specialized in hemostasis and thrombosis (PhD). I have a long-standing interest in platelet physiology, with experience in pre-clinical and clinical studies of platelet functions in hemostasis and beyond. My most recent work centers on platelets as models of neurodegenerative diseases, using animal and human platelets. I have also a keen interest in personalized antiplatelet therapy, focused on a mechanistic understanding of individual patient differences. In my academic clinical position, I have protected clinical and research time, allowing me to bridge the fundamental and clinical aspects of platelet physiology.
