Jun-Xu Li has over 20 years of research experience in behavioral neuropharmacology, with particular interests in drug abuse and pain research. In collaboration with chemists, his research has led to impactful discoveries in imidazoline I2 receptors and TAAR1 receptors. He has long been involved in the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), where he has served as chair of the Behavioral Pharmacology Division. He is currently Professor and Vice Chair for Research at University at Buffalo. Research interests Dr. Li has a long-standing research interest in behavioral neuropharmacology of drug abuse and pain. His research mostly focuses on drug target validation, in vivo pharmacological efficacy confirmation and safety pharmacology of potential pharmacotherapies.
