Graduate Research Assistant

Master of Medical Science (Biomedical Science) candidate at the University of Malaya with a background in Industrial Biotechnology. Research interests include renal disease, particularly Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD), cellular signalling, cell culture models, natural bioactive compounds, and computational approaches in drug discovery. Current research focuses on investigating the therapeutic potential and underlying mechanisms of bioactive compounds in ADPKD, with an emphasis on cyst progression and intracellular signalling pathways. Experienced in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, analytical techniques, and translational biomedical research. Previously conducted animal-based research on natural product formulations and wound healing, involving formulation development, efficacy evaluation, and preclinical studies using rat models. Additional experience includes experimental design, data analysis, and interdisciplinary biomedical research.
