Graduated in Pharmacy in 2013 and obtained a Master’s degree in Palliative Care from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 2016. Since 2014, work has been carried out as a Senior Technician of Diagnosis and Therapeutics in Pharmacy at the Pharmaceutical Services of the Santo António Local Health Unit (ULSSA, EPE), Portugal. Currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto, with a focus on integrating clinical practice with translational biomedical research. The professional trajectory combines advanced clinical pharmacy practice, scientific research, involvement in higher education, and participation in professional development initiatives. Clinical experience encompasses oncology pharmacy, sterile compounding and cytotoxic drug preparation, parenteral nutrition, psychiatric pharmacy, and medication distribution systems, with particular emphasis on medication safety, quality assurance, and healthcare process optimization. Research activity focuses on bioactive compounds and their pharmaceutical and biomedical applications, particularly the valorization of cork-derived bioactive compounds and their antioxidant, anti-aging, and therapeutic potential. Contributions include peer-reviewed scientific publications and multiple oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences, as well as participation as an expert in working groups dedicated to developing professional safety recommendations and improving clinical practices. In parallel with clinical and research work, active engagement in higher education is maintained through clinical supervision, mentoring, and teaching support across multiple academic institutions, contributing to the training of pharmacy and biomedical students and fostering translational collaboration between academia and healthcare settings. Professional involvement also extends to scientific organization, professional representation, and collaborative initiatives aimed at advancing healthcare innovation and practice. Work is guided by critical thinking, adaptability, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous learning, with particular interest in emerging public health challenges, healthcare innovation, and the evolving role of pharmaceutical sciences in modern healthcare systems.
