Professor

Reza Karimi, RPh, PhD is a licensed pharmacist and preceptor in the state of Oregon, with more than 20 years of academic experience in pharmacy education. He joined the academia in 2002 as a faculty member and has assumed various leadership positions, including Director, Assistant Dean, Associate Dean, and Dean. Currently, he serves as a faculty member to teach pharmacy students at Pacific University School of Pharmacy in Oregon. His teaching expertise is in biochemistry and pharmacotherapy and his research interest is in pharmacy practice, biomedical & clinical sciences, and educational research and outcomes. He is an avid advocate for the profession of pharmacy, both in the U.S. and around the world, and is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. He has served on the ACPE Board of Directors (2018-2024, including as President in 2022). He received his MSc (Pharmacy) in 1991 and his PhD (Molecular Biology) in 1998 from Uppsala University, Sweden and completed a 3-year postdoctoral training at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2002.
