Pharmacist/Postgraduate Reasearcher-Pharmaceutical Analysis

I am a pharmacist, researcher, and Master's Scholar in Pharmaceutical Analysis at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda. As a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU), I am passionate about advancing pharmaceutical sciences, strengthening healthcare systems, and addressing global health challenges, particularly antimicrobial resistance (AMR). My professional and academic journey has been driven by a commitment to improving pharmacy practice, research capacity, and public health outcomes. I had the privilege of serving on the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda Internship Policy Manual Committee, where I contributed to the development of policies and guidance aimed at enhancing the training and professional development of intern pharmacists. I also play a leadership role among early-career researchers in Uganda, promoting research collaboration, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives that empower the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals. My research interests span antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, pharmaceutical analysis, medicines quality assurance, pharmaceutical quality control, and analytical method development and validation. I have actively participated in numerous AMR-related initiatives, including research projects, awareness campaigns, training programs, and multidisciplinary collaborations focused on combating the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance and promoting the responsible use of antimicrobials. Am a recipient of NIHR- Early Career Research Grant from the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), an achievement that has strengthened my dedication to conducting impactful research that addresses pressing health challenges in low- and middle-income countries. My long-term ambition is to become a leading pharmaceutical scientist and global health researcher whose work advances healthcare innovation, strengthens antimicrobial resistance responses, and improves access to safe, effective, and quality medicines. I am committed to fostering meaningful collaborations and translating research into practical solutions that improve health and well-being in Uganda, Africa, and beyond.
