Ghanaian tertiary hospital in Cape Coast in the Central Region, upgraded from the regional hospital to a teaching hospital and serving as the referral centre for the central and western parts of the country and as the teaching hospital of the University of Cape Coast School of Medical Sciences. Provides specialist care in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, oncology and accident and emergency, runs a hospital pharmacy supplied through the national medical stores and supports clinical teaching and research.
