Chicago State University

American public university on the south side of Chicago in Illinois, founded in 1867 as a teachers' college and now a predominantly black institution. Teaches through its College of Pharmacy, which awards the doctor of pharmacy degree, together with colleges of health sciences with nursing and occupational therapy, arts and sciences with chemistry and biology, business and education, and runs its own teaching laboratories and pharmacy placements across the city.
