Regional office of the CNRS covering Lorraine, Franche-Comté and Burgundy, based at Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy. Administers the joint research units of Nancy, Metz, Besançon and Dijon, among them chemistry, materials, physics and life science laboratories run with the region's universities, handling staff, budgets, contracts, safety and buildings and supporting partnerships with hospitals and industry.
