American contract research business descended from Covance, which grew out of Hazleton Laboratories and was bought by Laboratory Corporation of America in 2015, with laboratories at Madison in Wisconsin, Harrogate in England and other sites. Runs non-clinical safety assessment and toxicology, bioanalysis, central laboratory services for clinical trials, and clinical development services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, working to good laboratory and clinical practice for regulatory submissions.
