Indian subsidiary of the British pharmaceutical group GSK, headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra and listed on the National Stock Exchange and BSE as GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited, with roots in the country going back to the 1920s. Manufactures and markets prescription medicines and vaccines across anti infectives, dermatology, respiratory, vaccines and general medicines from its plant at Nashik, and separated its consumer healthcare business, now Hindustan Unilever's Horlicks portfolio and Haleon, in earlier restructurings.
