Hoechst Pharmaceutical (Hukam)

Indian pharmaceutical business of the German chemical and pharmaceutical group Hoechst, which operated in India from the middle of the twentieth century as Hoechst Pharmaceuticals Limited and later Hoechst Marion Roussel. After the global merger that created Aventis it became Aventis Pharma Limited in India and, following the Sanofi-Aventis merger, Sanofi India Limited, listed on the Indian exchanges and making and marketing prescription medicines and vaccines from its Goa and other sites.
