Hoechst Roussel Vet

German animal health company formed from the veterinary businesses of Hoechst and Roussel Uclaf and headquartered in Germany with operations across Europe and beyond. Developed, made and sold veterinary medicines and vaccines for livestock and companion animals, including antiparasitics, antibiotics and reproductive and metabolic products, and was sold to Intervet in 2000 when Hoechst's successor Aventis withdrew from animal health.
