Malaysian public tertiary referral hospital on Jalan Pahang in Kuala Lumpur, run by the Ministry of Health and one of the largest hospitals in the country with more than two thousand beds, tracing its origins to a government hospital opened in the nineteenth century. Provides emergency and trauma care and a full range of specialist and sub specialist services including cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, nephrology, paediatrics and burns, runs a large hospital pharmacy with clinical pharmacy, outpatient dispensing and aseptic and cytotoxic preparation units, and hosts postgraduate medical training and clinical trials.
